Q: Is my phone compatible?
A: There is an easy way to find out: from the "Help & Support" menu, please select the "Phone Compatibility Test" option.
Please note: Make Your Own Ringtones is compatible with over 150 phones and is available in over 50 countries: USA, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Australia, Spain, just to name a few! But we kindly ask that you verify that your phone, and carrier services are compatible with our system since not all phones are compatible and not all phones have Internet access!
Q: I bought a License but did not receive my Registration Code. Where is it?
A: The Registration Code is sent out to the email address that you provided to us during the payment process. The code is sent out automatically once payment is confirmed, which is usually "immediately" (except if you paid by eCheck, please read on).
However, if you do not find it, please make sure you check all potential folders in your email system: Inbox, Spam, Junk mail, Bulk mail, etc. (each email system works differently as to how it treats new such mail). Except for eCheck payers, if you have not received the Registration Code after checking your email account carefully and waiting for 2-3 hours (in case there is some unexpected delay in the delivery of the email), please contact our Customer Support Team using the form below.
Payment by eCheck: If you have paid by eCheck, the registration code is not sent out until the eCheck is cleared and an "OK" is given from the payment system. Once this is done, the Registration Code will be sent out automatically as well, but it usually takes PayPal five days to approve eChecks. Therefore, please wait to contact us since we will not be able to speed up such process!
Q: I lost my registration code? How can I have it sent to me?
A: If you lost your registration code, there is no problem. All you have to do is to fill the form below with the name and email address used when you registered with us and you will receive the registration code at that email.
Q: The quality of the ringtone is lower than in the preview, why?
A: Make Your Own Ringtones attempts to make the ringtone with the highest quality sound possible for each phone type and model. But it is important to remember that a ringtone will always have a lower quality than what you hear on a computer because of the speaker quality.
Please note, we have added a new volume "normalizer" to improve the ringtone sound volume. Additionally, you can modify the volume of the ringtone on your handset (please see your phone's User Manual for instructions).
Q: Why is the music/audio file not compatible with Make Your Own Ringtones?
A: Most music and audio files are compatible with our application; however, if the file is DRM (Digital Rights Management) protected Make Your Own Ringtones will not be able to process it. Make Your Own Ringtones is compatible with the following types of files:
MP3
WMA
OGG
WAV (e.g. audio files made on your computer: voice recordings, sounds, etc.)
Audio CD files* (songs from your music CDs)
Important: It is your responsibility to have the rights to use the respective audio files as ringtones.
*Access to audio CD tracks is dependant on CD drive compatibility; therefore, this option may not be available on every computer.

Q: How much does it cost?
A: The cost of a License is $9.95. When you buy a License, you are able to make unlimited ringtones. Plus you get access to future upgrades of the software. Once you buy the License, you pay nothing else to us!
The cost of one single ringtone is $1.99. You can buy just one ringtone at a time if you want.
The cost of the License is less than 4 individually bought ringtones! So, if you want to make more than 4 customized ringtones for you and your friends, the best deal around... anywhere... is to buy a Make Your Own Ringtones License.
